why did nabisco stop making ideal cookies?

YUMmmm!! I had forgotten about these!! I was about 10 when they came into my life. I also always look in the cookie aisle and leave buying no cookies because there is no competition. Love them and really wish they would bring them back the SAME as the were! I think about them all the time. Found these comments so wanted to put my two-cents in on this. I have tried to substitute the Little Debbies, but they are not a match. Little Debbies just don't work for me. The closest thing I have found is the Girl Scout Peanut Butter Patties. They were a tart, refreshing treat in the hot summer desert heat of Las Vegas. Where did they go and why did they stop making them? They would be a big hit! My friends and I have been trying to figure out what it was called! How's that for wishful thinking? I am sending an email to Nabisco to lodge my question tonight. I used to demolish a whole strip of them at once. Ideal cookie isn't the only good cookie we've lost.
